Accurate analogy except that the USA created Al Queda in the first place to fight the soviets back in the 80s, and before then the USA installed Saddam and the Baathists in order to fight Iran.

Americans pretty much fail at history. Really the gif should be of the guy tapping *himself* on the shoulder, getting mad, and then punching out the guy behind him.
