So, I'm guessing this is simply the camouflaging at work.
Before anybody shouts, yes. Jetfighters ARE camouflaged.
They're blue-grey. The sky is, generally, grey-ish. (also often blue, but that's just bad luck for the pilots)

Alternatively, the jet broke the speed of sound, making a distinctive diamond pattern.
But probably a shitty camera combined with camouflaging.
