Looks like "situational blindness". Truck driver looks right at the motorcycle, but doesn't see him, because he expects and scans for oncoming cars, not motorcycles.

No probably about it. You'd be better off not wearing a helmet at all in this situation. Assuming his cervical spine wasn't severed, at least then death would be instantaneous rather than lying there semiconscious feeling your freshly dissected aorta filling your mediastinum and causing you to drown in your own blood.

The motorcyle clearly won. That truck it undrivable now that the windshield is broken. The radiator is probably spewing fluid as well, so even if he did try to drive away it would over-heat in a few miles. The motorcycle must be a Kawasaki Ninja

Well, compare the speed the truck was moving (sketchy since it was about to turn) and the speed of the green car that was going past. That motorcycle was obviously speeding, and it's not easy to judge the speed of a motorcycle heading towards you.
