They have up to 12(could be more) and down to 0(yes, they're blind, but yet are still some of the best hunters, somehow), spiders seems to have very loose genes when it comes to eyes.

In this case I think it was using it's spidey sense.
And to the guy who "needs" to kill all spiders, stop being such a fucking coward, it's smaller than you; brush it off and ignore it.
I can't even imagine how you'd feel about the forests around here, every path is blocked/full of spiderwebs, you can't go 2 feet without seeing one.
