While you're probably right about him having palsy, polio was 'eliminated' in that the last case of naturally occurring 1979 in the US. So the last person who naturally contracted polio would be ~33. There are plenty of people alive that have it and all it takes is a lack of vaccine for it to happen again. All this isn't including the 2005 breakout in the Amish area of Minnesota or the 150-200 cases that have been contracted FROM the vaccine which aren't contagious. That is why the vaccine is still given to every baby that pops out.

Hell I could name 5 living celebrities that have it.
