He's on a stairwell. It was all useless. He could have just walked to the bottom. But he decided to awesome his way to the bottom instead. And for that, I salute him!

this is pretty much why I dislike parkour....sure it LOOKS awesome but it's simply retarded since you can just walk down the stairs or just do other things that are way more efficient. parkour is only good for showing off, getting away from the cops, and stunts for filming.

That's more like freerunning rather than parkour. Parkour is "get from point A to point B as fast as possible." Freerunning is "get from point A to point B as stylishly as possible."
