In all fairness they don't use English in the Starwars universe, there's potentially more letters than in ours. The longest "true" alphabet has over 100 characters with one letter per possible sound(IPA) and longest overall alphabet going over 80,000 characters(Chinese). And while the spoken language(Basic) has 26 characters it's possible that's a translation of one of the other language's designations such as in Bocce which could have the 80,000 or more characters. Or Huttese which has about 40 letters.
Also, this took about ten minutes to research. So uh. I don't fail too hard do I?
