I remember playing BF 1942. Teamspeak n shit. Suddenly a female voice. Every male gets hyped. Every male except me. After listening to macho talking for a few minutes i told them: "Shut the fuck up! Girl or not, she came here to play like all of us. Get back to playing or get the fuck out". I had to listen to a shitstorm but somewhere between insults i heard her "Thanks, dude". We added each other and became playmates and then friends. We were playing together up to 2011 where my computer couldn't deal with the newest games any more and somehow our gaming paths separated. We still talk via mail but it's not the same thing. Funny how you can be besties with someone, who you never meet irl
