What you see is the interaction of Radon Gas (Rn) with cosmic radiation and/or Radiation from earth.
Because you cant see radiation with your eyes scientists create many ways to look how you can make it "visible". Every clowd you see is a radiation "particle" that hit the chamber.

That didn't exactly answer all of my questions so i decided to just google Radon and its properties and now i know what i wanted. but thanks for the basic explanation
