do tanks normally not survive IEDs? I thought it was hummers that had to worry about them. I guess that shows how much I know about IEDs.

Armor is generally the weakest underneath a tank, there for no, most tanks do not survive a well built IED. Chances are, in fact, that even this one took a bit of damage.

Turret is fucked, from the videothe tank is on fire, and you can guarantee if the force of the explosion can launch a 60 tonne tank, then the overpressure alone would have fucked everyone inside.

Tracks are probably fucked.
Suspension too.
Turret probably needs to be readjusted, along with every piece of equipment on the damn thing, from the sights to the electronics.
Crew needs medical attention.
And we need a fire hose to wash out those steaming piles of shit.

All in all, just another day's work in Shitfuck, Middle East.

its gonna need repairs and the crew are gonna have concussions at the least and they probably gored themselves on any sharp object which i imagine are plentiful in a tank
