how is that ironic? it would only be ironic if they both caught fire. fire trucks on fire is ironic.

The fire truck driving towards the camera is at fault. Even with lights and siren emergency vehicle drivers must stop at every stop sign and red light and clear the intersection lane by lane as if each lane was a stop. And this one isn't very ironic. There once was a firefighter that ran the light and ramed into a minivan, killing the adult and child in the car. The two people in the van were family of the fire truck driver.

Actually, it's not so much ironic considering it may have been rival fire companies in the same town. The feud between the two firehouses in my town is vicious.

Rival companies or not, they both arrived at the scene of the accident at the same time.
