I once hit some form of vulture (I assume not an eagle) in the road once. There was roadkill in the middle of the highway and the large bird was picking at it until it realized I was coming at 60mph. it took off and tried to fly away, as in the direction I was travelling... So I hit it at about 45 MPH. Smacked the windshield, thought it cracked it at first but no. I wish I WISH I could have turned around and seen what happened to hit but I assume the bird with its hollow bones was dead dead dead if not on impact in a few seconds as another car would run it over as it couldn't fly anymore.
