"spiders have EIGHT eyes for a reason, derp."
They have up to 12(could be more) and down to 0(yes, they're blind, but yet are still some of the best hunters, somehow), spiders seems to have very loose genes when it comes to eyes.

In this case I think it was using it's spidey sense.
And to the guy who "needs" to kill all spiders, stop being such a fucking coward, it's smaller than you; brush it off and ignore it.
I can't even imagine how you'd feel about the forests around here, every path is blocked/full of spiderwebs, you can't go 2 feet without seeing one.
That is indeed a hobo spider, you can tell from the relative shortness of it's third pair of legs compared to the other three, and it's little nibblers that look like Christmas balls (imho).
Also, while being bitten is incredibly painful...

Also, while being bitten is incredibly painful and can take quite some time to fully heal, they aren't usually deadly. Necrosis is unusual and in most cases is caused by a secondary infection, such as staph, rather than the actual toxin that was injected.
Either way his finger is going to be fucked for a few months. Poor dude.

Yeah it's a Hobo Spider and their bite is really bad. My brother got bitten on the foot by one it swelled up like 5 times larger and he couldn't walk for 3 weeks.

It's just a fucking giant house spider. We get these all the time. Completely harmless, but fucking ugly and HAVE TO DIE!! I've taken my room apart before hunting these fuckers down, if I see one there's no way I can rest until it's dead.

Huntsmans are venomous but are not deadly. Possibly you may need to go to a hospital if you have some sort of pre-existing condition, but a healthy adult will recover from a bit in a few days.

It isn't a huntsman. Huntsman legs are always angled forwards.
Also, they aren't a threat to humans.

Oh Jesus

That's either a huntsman spider or a hobo spider both of which are highly venomous. Enjoy the loss of use in that hand buddy.

Most spiders have 6-8 eyes on the front and 2-4 on the back of their head. They are not to be messed with.
