Holy shit, you must've been dropped on your head from heights less than 8 feet a couple times too many when you were little. If you ever have a baby, hold it up to the ceiling and drop it onto the bathroom floor and see if that causes any major damage.

8 feet? try that with a baby some time.
basic physics: all objects fall at the same speed. babies being light does not make them fall more slowly. they're only about a foot tall, so *that* is why they don't get hurt.

This is why if baby beaters go to doctor with bruised baby and doc say hey why baby bruised and you go ahh it fell off da chair... doc say ok, have a seat right over there there are some people who have some questions to ask you.
