He wished it landed on his face so he'd have a scar he could make up stories about to the girls.

They're not shooting at anything. It looks like a basic rifle qual for sailors aboard a ship. Every so often they'll break a few rifles out of the armory and shoot out into open water.

being a lefty I don't present my open coller to the shooter on my left so I've never had hot brass on me. One time I also had one go up my sleeve but it never touched my skin. A buddy of mine however has a sweet scar on his neck that is the perfect...

I've fired dozens of 5.56 and 7.62 rifles and the cases have never been that hot just after ejection. I mean sure, they've been warm, but not burning hot... I guess the breach heats up faster with automatic fire and transfers the heat to the cases

I had that happen to me at the range in Basic. I had a 5.56 casing go up my sleeve and it hurt like a bitch.
This other guy had a 5.56 casing bounce off the grass and the open end of the casing imprinted a circle on his face.
