Weight distribution. The first crib moved, baby is at other end of crib, which makes it lighter and easier to move. Second crib is empty making it very easy to move.

Actually, because their forearms are disproportionately short when compared to an adult, small children get better leverage and thus have disproportionate strength when compared to adults. Also, their muscle-to-bone mass ratio is better than an adult....
