That's exactly right. It has nothing to do with whether or not they're heroes. Everyone appreciates firefighters because fire isnt people. Besides, firefighters don't have much responsibility, they fight fires and that's about it. They don't carry guns, they can't arrest anyone, they dont have cells or badges.. only the chief has a car.. it's hard to abuse power when you don't have any.
I like cops. I don't like being mugged, robbed, having my shit vandalized, etc. I'll take an unwarranted search over a flat tire any day. Then again, I don't smoke weed, so.. maybe I'm biased.
Fire fighters show up to any type of accident before any police officer or ambulance arrives. They are authorized to do more than just fight fires. They even have EMT crews which means they can do just about anything an ambulance can do. So I hope what u say is true when ur the one choking on dick.
