Calling bullshit on this. A seizure consists of random neuron firing, producing uncontrolled convulsions, wild flailing etc. This guy? He got hit nowhere near his head, ran around, flopped, got up, ran around some more... his motion was coordinated.
The rationalisation you mention, if that really was a statement from the team doctor or something, was just an effort to regain some credibility. "He wasn't faking honest injun! Scouts honour!"
