Ahhh, good film.

This is The Thing. A John Carpenter sci-fi/thriller film from 1982. Sure, the fx haven't aged well, but it's a damn fine film. Damn fine.

But if you're on 4gifs, you probably already know the film.

Just watched this movie again about 5 days ago. Still one of the best horror movies ever made. Wonder if the prequel is any good...

I'd have to disagree, this and Jurassic Park have some of the best special fx of all time.

Problem is that most movie studios use CGI AND Practical effects exclusively and one-half the fx look like shit for that reason alone.

Some scenes in this movie look absolutely phenomenal.
