I'd have to disagree, this and Jurassic Park have some of the best special fx of all time. Problem is that most movie studios use CGI AND Practical effects exclusively and one-half the fx look like shit for that reason alone. This is The Thing. A John Carpenter sci-fi/thriller film from 1982. Sure, the fx haven't aged well, but it's a damn fine film. Damn fine. But if you're on 4gifs, you probably already know the film.

Ahhh, good film.
