This is one of many reasons why I have very little sympathy for cyclists. The whole "Share the road" thing goes both ways, and many cyclists forget that. Besides, when a cyclist crosses the road at a crosswalk, aren't they supposed to get off the bike and walk it across?

Illogical and inconvenient. You're on a bike to go places faster than the average pedestrian. Why get off at a crossing for any damn reason? It slows you down and just makes you an awkward target for an inattentive driver, more so than the average pedestrian. At least on a bike you can get the fuck out of the way slightly faster.


That mandate is like saying you should get out of your car and push it across an intersection. Fucking seriously.

Yeah yeah, fuck cyclists and all, but this is why you fucking slow down when you're around pedestrian crossings. My general rule of driving is, if you assume people are going to do retarded shit on the roads, you'll never be disappointed, and you'll manage to avoid most of it.
