Why to people now days run after a kid when it falls down like it dieded or something? Do people not understand the physics of inertia? A baby will not build up enough speed,to cause any major damage, by falling from a height less than 8 feet . This is why if baby beaters go to doctor with bruised baby and doc say hey why baby bruised and you go ahh it fell off da chair... doc say ok, have a seat right over there there are some people who have some questions to ask you.

8 feet? try that with a baby some time.

basic physics: all objects fall at the same speed. babies being light does not make them fall more slowly. they're only about a foot tall, so *that* is why they don't get hurt.

He didn't say the baby fell slower because it was lighter (he didn't even use the word light). He saying baby's that fall from a height less than 8 feet don't accelerate to a high enough speed to seriously injure themselves. How about you learn how to read.

Holy shit, you must've been dropped on your head from heights less than 8 feet a couple times too many when you were little. If you ever have a baby, hold it up to the ceiling and drop it onto the bathroom floor and see if that causes any major damage.
